This policy explains how MySolat (“we”, “us”, “the app”) collects, uses, and protects your information. By using MySolat, you agree to the practices described here.

01Information we collect

• Account information — your name, email address, and authentication identity when you sign up with email or Google.
• Location data — your device location, or a manually chosen location, used solely to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction.
• Prayer activity — the logs, streaks, history, and goals you record.
• Quran activity — bookmarks, notes, favourites, and khatam reading progress.
• Device & technical data — device type, operating system, app version, and diagnostic logs that keep the app working and secure.

02How we use it

• To calculate and display accurate prayer times, reminders, and Qibla direction.
• To sync your logs, Quran progress, and settings across your devices.
• To deliver the notifications and reminders you enable.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the app, and to answer support requests.

03Location data

Location is used only to determine prayer times and Qibla direction. You may use a manually selected location instead of GPS, and you can revoke location permission at any time in your device settings — though some features may then be limited.

04Storage & security

Your data is stored with our backend provider (Supabase) using industry-standard measures, including encrypted connections and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

05Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only with trusted providers that help us operate the app, and only to the extent necessary — or where required by law.

06Third-party services

MySolat relies on services including Google Sign-In, Supabase (backend & storage), and prayer-time authorities such as JAKIM and MUIS. These process data under their own privacy policies.

07Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You may delete your account and all associated data at any time — see our account deletion page.

08Children’s privacy

MySolat is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

09Your rights

You may access, update, or delete your personal information at any time through the app, or by contacting us at the address below.

10Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes are reflected in the “Updated” date above; continued use of the app constitutes acceptance.
